Let You Go was produced in 2012 and becomes the second track made public from the still unreleased (unfinished) highly-anticipated sophomore album tentatively titled Sweeter Than Madness by the model-actress-singer. This song follows the low-key release of the album's first single Electric Sky that debuted in May 2012 to positive reviews. Helmed by long-time collaborator Chris Brenner and Stuart Zender (Jamiroquai), Let You Go combines elements of trip-hop and alternative folktronica throwing back to the sound popular in the late '90s and early 2000's; think Morcheeba, Portishead and Beth Orton or even remotely, Kylie Minogue's Loving Days (2003). The down-tempo percussive number magnfies the singer's vocals with it's minimal instrumentation coming through raw and demo-like, which may suggest that a possibility of an overhauled version could still appear on the album. While exploring that thought of a would-be-reworked version on the album, the song's current presentation is flawless; exactly how i expect another Milla Jovovich song to be. The sultry singer breathily croons "I always feel it when you're near me, leave a whisper in your ear. Tell me what you want to hear." rather closely and intimately, bringing tingles to the listener's skin. The melodious chorus then takes over and should remain in your head long after the song has finished. That's how surprisingly lasting it is!
